Praying Mantis

This Praying Mantis made its way to a dry perch when I watered the flowers early in the morning. The Praying Mantis can rotate its head 180 degrees. This one kept me in sight with two large compound eyes and three other simple eyes located between them. Mantises are mostly ambush predators, using their front legs to snare their prey.
