UCRiverside Campus and Botanic Gardens

The first two years of my university education were spent at UCRiverside. I have fond memories of the challenge and rewards. While at UCR, I studied with Karoly Fogassy, the Senior Scientific Illustrator, and completed my apprenticeship as a Scientific Illustrator.

In the late sixties a Fine Arts program (BFA) was not offered at UCR and I pursued my art education in Colorado at CU Boulder,

While visiting the campus, I was pleased to see the UCR Arts building built in 2001,

Botanic Gardens

Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the UCR Botanic Gardens! Nestled in the foothills of the Box Springs Mountains on the east side of the University of California, Riverside Campus, The Gardens covers 40 hilly acres. Wander over four miles of scenic trails or just relax on a bench and enjoy the beauty.

Visit the 40-acre UCR Botanic Gardens, located on the eastern edge of the University of California Riverside campus. Our location and topography provide diverse microclimates for many themed gardens, diverse plant communities from Mediterranean and arid climate zones, and abundant wildlife.
