Courtyard Wildflowers from Seed

This year courtyard gardening was drastically changed with the COVID-19 quarantine. When it came time for planting, the garden centers were closed and online options were sold out. Thank goodness a neighbor suggested planting from seed.

I purchased the Bird and Butterfly Wildflower Mixture from Seed Needs. This was a real learning experience requiring much trial and error. I was forewarned from the mixture guidelines that many of the flowers could reach heights of 36” and more. But I was enticed by the “Bird and Butterfly” attracting features. I pruned the tall plants back to encourage branching. That helped quite a bit.
