All Aboard! Amtrak to Riverside, California
An Amtrak train ride is always a great adventure. My Rubidoux High School 50th class reunion was not to be missed, according to friends and family who encouraged me to attend.
The Lamy station is only minutes from our house. My husband and I boarded the Southwest Chief in Lamy at 2:30 p.m. and arrived in Riverside, California at 6:00 a.m. Well, actually, we were three hours late; but that's the "charm" of taking the train.
We enjoyed the comfort and views of the Superliner Roomette and Lounge Car. The Dining Car had excellent meals and we met interesting fellow travelers.
